MLB catcher from 1961-72 with 8 teams. Known as 'Babe' or 'Duke of Paducah'. Brother of MLB outfielder Gene Roof and cousin of MLB manager Eddie Haas. Best season in 1975 with 7 HR's & .303 BA. (1st player ever signed with Toronto Blue Jays in '76)
