Suzie LeBlanc is a Canadian soprano and early music specialist, who has enjoyed an active international career performing in concerts throughout Europe, North America and Japan, in repertoire ranging from lute songs to chamber music to oratorio and early opera. Suzie LeBlanc specializes in the 17th and 18th century repertoire. She has worked with Ensemble Tragicomedia, lute player Stephen Stubbs and has sung as a guest artist with the Purcell Quartet, the Parley of Instruments, Red Byrd, the Freiburger Barockorchester, Fretwork, Les Voix Humaines, Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra, Teatro Lirico, Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra, Musica Antiqua K�ln, Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, and Les Violons du Roy. LeBlanc has also received grants from the Canada Council and Quebec?s Ministry of Cultural Affairs. Opera roles include Poppea in L'incoronazione di Poppea at the Op�ra de Montr�al, Clori in Handel?s Clori, Tirsi e Fileno, Euridice in Monteverdi?s Orfeo in Vienna, Stuttgart and Tokyo, and Drusilla in L'incoronazione di Poppea at the Malm� Festival. She is also the founder and artistic director of the Acad�mie Baroque de Montr�al.
