Darrell Steven Steinberg is a Democratic politician from Sacramento, California. He was California Senate President pro Tempore and the leader of the majority party in the California State Senate from 2008 to 2014.
Steinberg is currently serving his second term in the California State Senate, representing the 6th District. He had previously served as a member of the California State Assembly and as a member of the Sacramento City Council.
