David Johnson was born in Jacksonville, Florida, and grew up in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Johnson is an American news anchorman for WPXI-TV. He is currently the co-anchor of Channel 11 News at 5:00 and 6:00 with Peggy Finnegan, and co-anchor for Channel 11 News "11 at 11" with Lisa Sylvester. He also anchors The Ten O'Clock News on Fox 53, and the 7:00 news on PCNC. David Johnson and Peggy Finnegan are the longest running anchor team in Pittsburgh.
