Thomas Alan Johnson is a professional baseball pitcher. From Mississippi State University and Jefferson State Community College, he signed undrafted to the Colorado Rockies. He currently plays for the Lancaster Barnstormers of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. After going undrafted out of college in 2005, he signed with the Rockies organization on June 14 and was assigned to Rookie League Casper. In 15 starts, he went 3-2 with a 3.97 ERA, striking out 78 in 79.1 innings. Johnson was promoted to Single-A Asheville for 2006, where in 27 starts, he went 13-5 with a 4.04 ERA, striking out 123 in 160.1 innings. Johnson was promoted to High-A Modesto for 2007, where in 26 starts, he went 14-7 with a 2.99 ERA, striking out 119 in 168.2 innings. He also made 2 starts with Double-A Tulsa. Johnson played 2008 with Tulsa, where in 28 starts, he went 4-14 with a 5.23 ERA, striking out 92 in 175.2 innings. Johnson played 2009 with Triple-A Colorado Springs, where in 26 games, he went 10-6 with a 5.66 ERA, striking out 76 in 143 innings.
