David Kolomatis is an American professional ice hockey player who is currently under contract to Tappara in the Finnish Liiga. He was originally selected by the Los Angeles Kings in the 5th round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. Kolomatis spent four seasons with the Los Angeles Kings AHL affiliate, the Manchester Monarchs before leaving as a free agent to sign a one-year, two way contract with the Washington Capitals on July 5, 2013. In his only season within the Captials organization in 2013?14, Kolomatis was assigned to AHL affiliate, the Hershey Bears in scoring 30 points in 61 games. On July 25, 2014, Kolomatis signed as a free agent abroad in Finland on a one-year contract with Tappara of the Liiga.
