Salvador S�nchez Cer�n is a Salvadoran politician who has been President of El Salvador since 2014. He previously served as Vice President from 2009 to 2014. In the 2014 presidential election, he ran as the candidate of the left-wing Farabundo Mart� National Liberation Front and was elected as President. He took office on June 1, 2014.
