Eric Lynn Hacker is an American professional baseball pitcher who plays for the NC Dinos of the Korean Baseball Organization. Hacker stands 6 feet 1 inch and weighs 230 pounds. He throws right-handed but is a switch hitter. He has played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Minnesota Twins, and San Francisco Giants. He throws a fastball, a slider, a curveball, and a changeup.
Hacker was drafted out of Duncanville High School by the New York Yankees in 2002. He pitched in their minor league system from 2002?2009 before getting traded to the Pirates. He made his major league debut with Pittsburgh on September 22, 2009, and pitched in three games for them that season. He signed with the Giants in the offseason and spent the entire 2010 season in the minor leagues. In 2011, he signed with the Twins and appeared in two games with them. He signed with San Francisco in 2012 and made his first career start in the majors, recording a loss. He also pitched three games in relief for the Giants that year.
