Description
Sam Smith is an American former professional basketball player. A 6'4" guard, Smith played at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas during the 1970s, and helped the Runnin' Rebels reach the NCAA Final Four in 1977. He then played two seasons in the National Basketball Association as a member of the Milwaukee Bucks and Chicago Bulls. He averaged 6.8 points per game in his NBA career, and completed the first four-point play in NBA history on October 21, 1979. As of 2009, he was living in Las Vegas and working as a shooting coach.
